Restorer2000 has two operation modes: File search and recovery on a partition (including those found during disk scan). In this mode, Restorer2000 analyzes MFTs on NTFS partitions and File search supports file masks and regular expressions. Multiple files in different folders can be found and restored in one restoring session. Restorer2000 supports mass file recovery. There is no limit in the number of files that may be restored during one session. File content may be previewed before recovery. File or disk binary data can be viewed and edited in the text/hexadecimal editor. Disk scan, searching for partitions. In this mode, Restorer2000 scans the entire disk or its part. Using a number of statistic and deterministic criteria known as the SmartScan technology, it determines existing or existed partitions on the disk, and their file systems. It is also possible to add new partition, by setting manually all required parameters. Lost files (Available in Restorer2000 Pro and Restorer2000 Pro Network) While scanning, Restorer2000 can recognize a particular file type to which the data belong. Using such information, Restorer2000 can obtain more information about data/file structure on the object being scanned. Such files appear on the recognized partitions in the Lost Files folder. |
